A little more about Damien Digby

Growing up in a business owner family and being a business owner himself, learning from the trenches for over 30 years, gives him the understanding and insight of what being right where you are today himself. His professional coaching engagements exceed 15,000 hours of direct contact with more than 200 different businesses in addition to thousands more all over the world through workshops and online programs. 

Damien has developed a philosophy, known as buildFREEDOM and a practical system to business success that has evolved over the years into a range of easily accessible, highly valuable, simple to learn and most importantly easy to implement programs. 

Over recent years Damien has primarily worked within the Building and Construction Industry where his Programs have had outstanding results using his Method of buildCASH – buildTIME – buildWEALTH.

Many of his clients have amassed multi-million dollar property portfolios as a result giving them true financial and physical freedom.

In life it’s often the simple things that work best.

In business however many aspects seem really complicated as there are just so many moving parts taking time and attention to constantly address. It clouds your better judgement at times. Quite often as a business owner it’s very easy to swing from tree to tree only to end up in exactly the same spot or sometimes even further behind. That wasted effort results in a very despondent Tarzan who overthinks the next jump to the point of no longer wanting to reach for the next vine, stunting growth, living in a ‘Let me just stand here where it’s safe’ mindset, known as your ‘comfort zone’.

Comfort zone is where most businesses die a slow, miserable death and with it the hopes, dreams & aspirations of the business owner, their families, friends & employees. In the past you could hang around in that space for quite a while, some survived for 10 years playing the game that way, however in today’s age of ever increasing speed you’re going to be chewed up and spat out before you’ve got time to think about it.

It’s why as a business owner you need to keep things simple, focused and moving forward.  You need someone to recognise when you’ve fallen into the comfort zone and break you out of it.

You need to have an understanding of where you are, based on what you need and want, in the cycle – focusing on one phase at a time building towards the next.

Our programs are designed and built around 3 distinct all important phases in a specific order:

Phase 1 – buildCASH

Everything starts and moves with Cash – that’s why we teach and coach it right upfront.

No matter what you do, where you’re at, what head start you’ve had or how well you can ‘save’ cashflow is the only thing to position you for the next 2 phases.

Without it you can’t entertain genuine growth.

You need to understand the language, know how it works, figure out it’s cycle, take advantage of that cycle and then speed it up.

As a business owner you have the opportunity to create a cashflow machine – for most of us that’s why we decided to work for ourselves in the first place and rid ourselves of the capped cash performance that 99.9% of regular jobs offer.

Machine is the operative word here – a machine that consistently produces a positive, recurring result that continues to increase over time.

Without this in place we cannot ‘buy’ our time back – which move us to phase 2.

Phase 2 – buildTIME

We can generate more customers, more employees, more business, more wealth… but can we generate more time?

The simple answer is no we can’t – it’s the only real finite resource in life.

We can however buy it back – it’s why we need to mastered phase 1 first.

During this phase we are developing the knowledge and skill required to replace what we do day to day, that is the ‘time consuming’ stuff.

Moving from lower value to tasks to higher value tasks.

Moving from a default mode to a design mode.

Moving from a reactive environment to a proactive environment.

Moving from planning our time on other people’s terms to planning our time on our terms.

For many of our clients this the place where they can actually take a holiday without worrying that their cashflow and profitability is coming along with them for the ride.

With cashflow and time mastered now you’re ready for phase 3.

Phase 3 – buildWEALTH

Does your retirement plan include selling your business for a fortune – a big enough fortune to live out the rest of your days in the lifestyle you’re now accustomed to?

Way too often we see that risky plan fail. Fail miserably in fact. Sometimes something unexpected occurs or other times it’s just that the first 2 phases are far from complete resulting in a much lower value.

Our philosophy is different – we see your business as the means to an end rather than the end itself. The means being the cash and the time, the end being an investment vehicle, independent from your business, to get your money working for you.

For builders that vehicle is property – well researched property generates ongoing income and capital growth & as a builder you can add value at wholesale rates to get a head start on that capital growth and rental yield. Although our role is not to give you specific investment advice on where to invest we do give you the strategies and accountability to establish and accelerate your plan.
